The Puppies

My son and daughter-in-law's dog gave birth to eleven puppies on the day before Easter. Eleven! I'm not a dog expert, but that seems like an awfully big litter, doesn't it?
Here is a picture of the puppies when they were 5 days old.
Today I've written a haiku to celebrate their arrival:
The Puppies
Eleven puppies
Squirming, sleeping, whimpering...
Cuteness overload!

This is definitely cuteness overload! I just want to cuddle with them. Your poem summed up puppies perfectly.

You had me at puppies and you satisfied my hope for a photo. Your haiku, is excellent, too. I did read it, and I think it captures the essence of puppyness!
